YOU'VE Officially Been CHALLENGED to a Weekday YouTube Adventure - Time To Lock In
Consider yourself challenged!
Starting today, we'll be publishing one new YouTube video every weekday.
That's five new videos every week.
And we'll do this for the next four weeks.
Use the hashtag #WeekdayYouTubeChallenge
In 2014, I started blogging regularly and I've published over 600 articles on my website and published 2 books with a third one almost finished.
Blogging challenges were some of the most powerful experiences for developing a publishing habit. These challenges have also been helpful in finishing my books.
This YouTube challenge is another step in my journey towards YouTube monetization. I've spent the first chunk of 2025 ironing out many kinks in my YouTube production and publishing process and now I'm ready to move to the next stage.
As we do this challenge, I want you to keep it as simple as possible. Don't overcomplicate it. Keep it as frictionless as possible.
If you're newer to YouTube start simply with your webcam or smartphone.
Think of recording a quick video on your phone and sending it to a friend... but instead, publish it to YouTube. Share your stories and insights.
Take that risk and open the opportunity doors.
This isn't about perfection, but progress. so, shift your mindset and think of this as a learning experience to turn into the person you need to become to be the successful YouTuber you want to be.
What's the worst that could happen? You fail and you fail big. But you've done something creative and you've learned some things.
What's the best outcome that could happen? you could have a hit video. You could get some subscribers. You could build a new business.
For those of you who will join us on this challenge. Think about how this challenge can help you based on the stage you are at.
For this challenge, do what you are great at, but take a step further in a direction that would push you forward.
If you've never done a challenge where you publish each weekday, let that be the challenge for you. But if you have done something like that before, add something to the challenge to push you further.
For me, I've been publishing numerous videos this year, so daily publishing is something I've already done.
What I'm going to do as part of this challenge is not include podcast episode clips in my daily video challenge. I want to stick to fireside chat videos or episodes of my podcast, Share Life.
This means I'll have to record and edit more new videos and be less reliant on my existing video library.
For you, maybe you add an editing technique or layer. Perhaps you improve your recording environment or you shoot some videos outside.
Ultimately, think about some ways to push yourself a little further but don't go too far as you'll make the challenge too difficult to complete.
So, join me and others where we'll publish one new video every weekday. Once you are fully committed to the challenge, your brain will start to figure out how to accomplish this.
My freelancing work takes up half of my workday, so I'll be shuffling around my schedule to use the other half of the day. As I ramp up I'll also be using nights and weekends to give me a head start.
If you are a blogger like myself, consider using many of your past blog posts as scripts for your YouTube videos.
So, will you join us? If yes, join the free Share Life Academy to participate in the challenge community.
